Hi Blue Marlins,

Thanks to everyone that joined us for
our Parent’s Meeting last week; everything discussed can be found on the NSJ
swimtopia website. As mentioned at the meeting, please download the swimtopia
app and allow notifications as any practice/meets delays or cancellations will
be communicated that way. All swim meets are open if you wish to declare your
swimmer(s) availability now.

Swim Suit Fitting –
Monday, June 5^th

Metro Swim will be onsite at NSJ on
Monday from 4-7pm to purchase this year’s swimsuit. If you cannot attend
the suit fitting and wish to order a suit, please call Metro Swim Shop at
443-891-0800 or stop by their store near BWI. Be sure to mention that you
are with NSJ in order to receive the discounted price.

Volunteers Needed –

at the pool if you can assist with any of these important roles.

Pep
rally. Coordinate and execute a pep rally on a designated
Friday night. We currently have 3 dates for pep rallys and will be adding
on a daytime (after practice) pep rally which will be for swimmers and will
feature games similar to a field day event. The theme this year will be The
Olympics. We are happy to share ideas
with you as well as hear any new ideas! This is great for those of you with
smaller kids who may not be as flexible during the meets.

Stroke
and Turn Judge. Are you already a USA Swimming certified stroke and
turn judge or otherwise interested in becoming a stroke and turn judge for our
summer team? We are always looking for more stroke and turn judges to
monitor swimmers during the meets and identify whether they are incorrectly
swimming strokes. CMSL provides online training for anyone not already
certified.

End of
Season Banquet. Coordinate and execute the end of season banquet,
which includes ordering the catering, setting up and taking down for the
event on Saturday evening, July 27^th. Two or Three volunteers needed
to head up the event.

Big/Little Marlin

Be on the lookout for a sign-up email
for this program later this week. This is a great way for our more senior
swimmers to support and encourage our younger swimmers.

Practice Schedule

Daily weekday practices after school
are underway. The practice schedule can be found on the team website.
June 13 is the last day as June 14 is our pep rally and team pictures.

Swim Caps

If you ordered an NSJ swim cap during
swim team registration, please find Amy during practice. We have sold a record
numbers of caps and have another order arriving soon. If you wish to purchase,
once that order arrives, we will have them at practice as well. $15 cash.

Checks

Please find Tim or Amy at practice
this week if you have not yet paid for the season. We are still missing payment
from 6 families.
